COP 17 -- Durban

Climate change? Food and energy security? Green technology? Bahhh! The international media -- from US-Europe-Japan to Caribbean & Pacific Islands -- is concerned about other things. Economic crisis in the EU, political unrest in Egypt and Syria, and “Spider-Man” are definitely selling more. The only national media newspapers making any reference to UN climate change talks starting today in Durban are the ones from China, India, Brazil, and, of course, South Africa. I wonder what does that mean?

PS. To the ones advocating limiting economic growth by imposing draconian mechanisms and carbon taxes worldwide; please, do not miss The Times of India’s article.
